Energy work & spiritual readings in Fort Erie
Gentle Reiki, Shamballa & Therapeutic Touch in Niagara.
I'm Terry Marie, a Reiki Master offering energy healing in Fort Erie and across Niagara, in person or at a distance. Sessions are quiet, unhurried, and led by whatever you need that day. No experience with reiki required.
Stress has a way of settling into the body and staying there. An hour on the table is one simple way to breathe again.
So, what is reiki?
A gentle form of energy work that began in Japan almost a hundred years ago. You rest, I place my hands lightly on or just above your body, and we let your system settle. Most people feel warm and deeply relaxed. Plenty drift off to sleep.
You don't have to "get" it for it to help, and you don't have to be spiritual, religious, or even open-minded about it going in. Most people are a little skeptical the first time, and it doesn't seem to make much difference either way. You'll stay clothed the whole time, nothing is forced, and you can ask me to stop or change what I'm doing at any point.
People come to me for stress, pain, poor sleep, grief, or just needing a reset. You don't need a diagnosis, and you don't need the right words for it. If you're not sure it's for you, that's a completely normal place to start from.
Training & practice
I've been drawn to this since I was a little girl.
I can't tell you exactly why. I just always felt things other people didn't seem to notice, and reiki was the first thing that gave that a shape. I trained with a handful of teachers, earned my reiki master's, and have been practising for more than thirty years now. Somewhere in there it added up to hundreds of people.
When my husband was diagnosed with cancer, I started volunteering with others going through treatment, mostly because I didn't know what else to do with my hands. That turned into years of it, and eventually into teaching reiki to people who wanted to learn it themselves.
My own proof came later. My husband and I wanted children and it wasn't happening, and no doctor had an answer for us. Working through it with reiki, I found an old grief I'd been sitting on without knowing it. My daughter came not long after. I don't tell people that to convince them of anything. I just can't talk about this work honestly without it.
Outside of sessions, I'm in Fort Erie with a stack of books I'm never quite through, a serious belly dancing habit, and music on more often than not.

You'll find me at Mythos Studio in Fort Erie.
Mythos Studio is the metaphysical art gallery of artist Lisa Iris, and my sessions happen in a quiet room inside it. Warm, a little magical, and easy to settle into the moment you walk in. It's a short drive from Ridgeway, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls, and Welland.
First time? There's nothing to prepare.
And nothing you can get wrong. Here's roughly how a visit goes.
Before
Come as you are, in something comfy, a few minutes early if you can.
During
You rest on the table, clothes on. A light touch, or none at all if you'd rather.
After
A minute for anything that came up, a glass of water, and off you go.
What people say afterward.
Thirty years and a few hundred people later, these are the words I hold onto.
What struck me immediately was the overwhelming sense of peace that washed over me. With each touch, I could feel tension melting away, replaced by a deep state of relaxation. Her approach was both nurturing and respectful of my energy and space. The entire experience left me feeling rejuvenated, grounded, and surprisingly centered.
I laughed, I cried and left feeling refreshed and at peace. She truly has a gift!
Your reiki treatments are awesome, so much so it inspired me to learn reiki myself and get my reiki levels.
Things people ask before their first visit.
Gentle energy work. You rest, I place my hands lightly on or just above you, and your system settles. Most people feel warm and calm.
No. All you do is rest and stay open to it.
Stress, anxiety, pain, and sleep are the most common reasons people come. It works well alongside your regular care, not instead of it.
No, and I'd never suggest it should. Please keep seeing your doctor. Think of this as support, not a substitute.
Usually just a light hand resting on you. Say the word and we'll skip touch entirely.
Distance reiki works from wherever you are, anywhere in Niagara or beyond. It reaches you a lot like a prayer does.
However many feel right for you. No packages, no pressure, no set number.
Life happens. Let me know as early as you can and we'll find another time. If you're running late, we'll use whatever time is left rather than rushing through it.
Cash or e-transfer in person, or online when you book. Whatever's easiest.
Drink some water and take it easy if you can. Some people feel a bit tired or tender for a day or so while things settle, and that passes on its own.
